Then, after getting home very, very late, you can't just relax, you gotta get the shovel out and throw your back out while risking cardiac arrest. But when it's all done, and you're back inside a warm house, drinking hot chocolate... that's the stuff of life! Mmmm... frothy, cocoa satisfaction!Craver Viihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12882284402568264182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33549841.post-68282344006025083162007-12-14T13:58:00.000-05:002007-12-14T13:58:00.000-05:00yeah. i live in texas. snow? a faint memory from m...yeah. i live in texas. snow? a faint memory from my northern childhood.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11470283761189392205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33549841.post-65918169641431296392007-12-14T09:57:00.000-05:002007-12-14T09:57:00.000-05:00Well then,I did the right thing.Well then,I did the right thing.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12890630942969500934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33549841.post-55821616628970213802007-12-14T07:31:00.000-05:002007-12-14T07:31:00.000-05:00You're right. Looking at the 10 day forecast, though, it looks like once you get through the weekend things may improve!Annelisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09090510390500600863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33549841.post-54902375151590528252007-12-14T00:00:00.000-05:002007-12-14T00:00:00.000-05:00i agree with your post that snow for adults is a ...i agree with your post that snow for adults is a lot tougher. as a child, it was easy to hop onto a sled in the backyard and go up and down the hills and enjoy myself. Now having to walk in the drifts and on top of the ice making funny dance moves to keep balance is not easy. yet the snow is beautiful when looking at it fall while listening to the crunch of snow shovels and carilons of the church bells.Scott R. I enjoyed coming down my street this evening and seeing the snowflakes quietly fall diagonally to the ground while listening to the church bells of a nearby cathedral playing.
When growing up, it was fun indeed to go sledding up and down the hills or attempt to shovel the walkways for $15 for a few hours of work. Yet, having to walk in the snow when older and a little more handicapped is no fun. But is also a blessing when given a hand getting off the bus.
So, it was a little like narnia this evening and a bit like hell frozen over.
at least, it will be a white Christmas. an oxymoron for the original christmas which was not white with the exception of Jesus taking away our sins and making us white as snow.Scott R.
